Scope
Magazines+ provides educators and students with digital access to Scholastic magazine content, interactive learning experiences, videos, activities, and classroom resources that support instruction both in school and at home.
Teachers and students can access Magazines+ using several supported methods depending on their school or district’s implementation preferences.
1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS & ALLOWLIST
1. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS & ALLOWLIST
Make certain that your district meets our System Requirements and that you have added all the necessary URLs to your organization’s allowlist. You can find our system requirements and URL allow list here.
2. SELF-ONBOARDED TEACHER ACCESS
2. SELF-ONBOARDED TEACHER ACCESS
🔑 MANUAL ACCOUNT: For most schools and classrooms, this option provides the simplest setup and fastest classroom access experience for Magazines+.
With this method:
- Teachers create or sign in to their Scholastic account
- Teachers activate their magazine subscription using their access code
- Teachers create a Classroom Password for students
- Students use the Classroom Password to access magazine content
🔑 GOOGLE CLASSROOM: Teachers may also choose to connect Google Classroom directly with Magazines+. This is a teacher-managed workflow and does not require district-level onboarding or rostering setup.
Teachers can:
- Sign in using Google
- Import Google Classroom classes
- Manage student access directly within the platform
3. DISTRICT-MANAGED ACCESS
3. DISTRICT-MANAGED ACCESS
Some schools or districts may use Clever, ClassLink, Canvas, Schoology, or another Single Sign-On (SSO) solution to provide access to Magazines+.
Districts that prefer centralized access through an LMS may choose to integrate Magazines+ using supported Single Sign-On (SSO) and LMS methods.
Supported options may include:
- ClassLink
- Clever
- Google SSO
- Learning Management Systems (i.e., Schoology, Canvas)
These access methods require setup and coordination between your district and Scholastic’s onboarding and rostering support teams. Because LMS and SSO environments vary by organization, setup requirements may differ depending on your district’s implementation.
Districts interested in LMS or SSO integrations should email Scholastic for onboarding assistance.
