Scholastic Teachables

1. CHOOSING YOUR ACCESS METHOD

Site-Authenticated subscriptions use the same method of access for all users within a given school or district. Access can be configured in a number of ways and you can choose one, two, or more methods depending on your implementation. Once your order has been placed, you'll receive an email from Scholastic asking you to choose your access method.

🔑 IP ADDRESS: by providing us with the IP address (or range) of your library, school, or district, anyone accessing these subscriptions with a matching IP address will be automatically signed into the subscription without the need for any additional credentials.

🔑 USERNAME & PASSWORD: libraries, schools, and districts can choose a username and password combination that all staff and students will use to access their subscription(s). Different combinations can be configured to indicate on-site access versus remote access.

🔑 PROXY AUTHENTICATION: if your library, school, or district has a proxy server set up (WAM, OpenAthens) we can use the IP address of the proxy server to provide access.

🔑 REFERRING PAGE: if your library, school, or district maintains a secured site, you can provide Scholastic the site's URL and we can add it as a configured referring page for your subscription. That way, when staff and students sign in to your secured site and click on their subscription link, they will be automatically signed in without any further need for credentials.

There is no rostering or student access associated with Scholastic Teachables.
